kenwalters 0
I'm looking at field shooting of crossbows as a new hobby. I have a military background with firearms, have used a variety of bows, and have used re-enactor copies of medieval+ crossbows at full poundage, not the play ones used in combat arenas. My main problem now is I'm disabled, physically and have ME/CFS. It affects my mobility - I use a walking stick normally, sometimes crutches and rarely in my wheelchair, and upper body strength. So I'm probably looking at some kind of recurve crossbow, firing bolts and /or bbs. Can anyone advise on type of crossbow I can possibly use please. I think the field target type shooting is best, I assume crossbow clubs use similar fibreglass animal targets etc to archery clubs? And is there anywhere local to me where I can practice with a crossbow against targets, or away from the public? I'm based in the west of Lancashire. Ken
