late harvest

don't know much about harvesting corn but it's got very black looking on the fields by us and with all the rain today it don't look that promising for the near future .I wish they would get it in as im really looking forward to getting out with my lurcher pup

Spot on and just cause it looks ready it don't mean the moisture content is correct.

good prices for wheat mean nothing if you spend £50 a ton drying it.

they can cut it when its higher than 15% but if they havent got a drier on the farm the grain stores charge £1.50 for every 0.1% over 15% so if you had 10 tonne at 16% they would knock £150 off your monies owed to you.
