slingshot82 32
Got some news today that my employers may be going into liquidation , they havent been able to pay any wages this week as the bank has pulled the plug . Dont know when or if I will get paid and to be honest I really cant afford not to be making money- bills to pay etc . We have been sent home until further notice, so I am looking for a new job in central scotland I am a plant service engineer by trade, so anything in that area would be suitable. Welding and fabricating, engine building, hydraulics etc anything like that So if anyone hears of or knows of any job suitable please let me know. Thanks Kyle

mangy1983 51
If your willing to move up to the Isle of Lewis you could possibly get a job at the Arnish fabrication yard. I believe they have just been given a 2 million pound contract to build tidal energy turbines. http://hebrides-news.com/arnish_scottish_power_17810.html other than that you could try offshore cheers Callum

Born here mate and lived here all my life! Couldn't move away, love the open spaces! Farmers dream as we don't have fox or badger on these islands but we do suffer from lazy geese who decided not to migrate any more. This year the population is expected to increase threefold to 12,000. We've also got a hedgehog problem due to an elderly English couple bringing a couple up in the 70's thinking it a great idea to use a couple to treat their garden with them against slugs and then releasing them after no longer needing them! Its the same with mink as they were released from fur farms here in the fifties. But there are schemes to cull the later two but hopefully l'll at least put a a slight dent into the geese population with my guns in the next six months. Hope you get a job soon Kyle mate cheers Callum Edited August 26, 2010 by mangy1983
