BUT, if anyone in the Ormskirk / Southport area is looking for a cheap family day out with the dogs, we (Irish terrier rescue) are holding our Ginger Fun Day at Scarisbrick Village Hall on Sunday September 5th at 10.30am. It's £3 for adults, £1.50 for under 16s and OAPs and you can bring along as many dogs as you like and enter as many classes. The Best Puppy, Best Rescue, Best Condition and Best Veteran are all based on how physically sound the dogs are - so you never know..........you might bring home some prizes We also have some really fun classes - waggiest tail, best trick, best sausage-catcher, potato race and rat-catchers' relay race....I know - not serious working dog stuff at all, but I for one would love to welcome more working dogs and it's your chance to show what a dog in good working order really looks like (and keep your kids amused for the day ) Oh and because it is a celebration of all things ginger - there are special prizes for the best ginger dog..........AND the best ginger handler.
