mark 2 ferret finders

Recommended Posts

I have been using one for a year now. I think its great apart from the collar. The collar is a bit on the weak side but they can easily be replaced. I found it to be bang on everytime to. A tip if your getting one is not to get hung up on the noise but look at the dots decreasing. I found it easier that way instead of waiting for the pitch to change because its not always that noticeable. My buddy has the MK3 and in my opinion its very complicated indeed with the dial on the back.

honestly mate i have a mk2 and i would advise you to stay away from them by my reackoning they are about a foot out save you redies and but a bell and flint thats what am doing. i no its a bit expensive but once you have it thats it no more problems. I done a bit of reserch on them and its the same equipment that is used in avalanch rescues.

The mk2 is shyte compared to the mk3, thats why

they bought the mk3 out so soon after the mk2

I had an mk2, the batterys dont last long at all, I think

I remember reading that the mk2 collar batterys last

30 hours, and the mk3 300 hours, but not a hundred %

on that, but I'm 100% certain the mk3 lasts a lot longer

as I have one now, after sending back the mk2 and

getting deben to upgrade it.

Cant remeber what other problems the mk2 had, but

i cant fault the mk3.
