Bosun11 537
Once upon a time I had my eye on a very good bitch, owned by a local dick. I'd seen the bitch run on and off for a few years, heard nothing bad about her. The idiot who owned her treated her very badly, poor housing, worse food, running her injured etc! I offered him good money for her but he knew her worth. Months later a mate rang to say the lad wanted to sell me the bitch as he was getting out of dogs. Round like a shot I parted with the money and took home my prize. She needed putting right and she got the best of everything. She was soon looking well, too well?? I soon knew the reason he had sold her, she was in pup!! I was blazing and shot round to the lads house, he offered me my money back but i really didn't want to let him have the bitch back. He said she had been caught by a dog I knew well in the back of a van whilst out. The sire was also a good animal and I bought what he said and foolishly I kept the bitch. The pups were born, bonny pups, but as they grew sommat just wasn't right, i was round his house again! After some 'gentle persuasion' he cried that the bitch had jumped the fence and had tied with a Rottie in the street!! Having my heart set on one, i was gutted, i'd been had...! Nobody wanted one so, I done the only thing I could do, put 'em in the Echo as pets, £10 each, as to folk I don't know, i don't belive they should be given (no value in 'em then!). I was honest and told of the parentage, they were beautiful pups, damn shame. I did hear of one, made a decent guard. So my tuppence worth is this, the lad has been very honest about the pups, sometimes sh!t happens, he's doing what he can, just as I did, I hope they all find good homes. Craigy , again, fair play to ya mate! Best of luck. 1 Quote Link to post

Tiff 36
good luck in finding them homes, your honesty is a breath of fresh air after some of the crap that gets found out later on ... but please do the right thing and do not put any remaining pups in rescue, one of these dogs in the wrong home is a bad bad thing glad to hear your luck has turned around and work has picked up, nice to hear people are actually working and not just on the dole Quote Link to post
