markha 99
hahah, classic especial for arrons name of pigeon-plucker Sorry Arron, cheap gags aside, I havent got a clue about them, to be honest I could do with a little bit more length of pull on mine, I suppose you could measure the extra distance you need, pop the original off, add some suitable packing and glue the pad back on? Or in true 'self-suffcient' style, re-model and ammend using gaffa tape Crap answers I know, specially as you want an off the shelf adjustable one, 'butt' hey atleast its taken the heat off your butt-plu...sorry butt-pad post! Phantom 631
lol knock it off guys, you say 'pop it off' how do you remove a recoil pad? Hi Aaron, I was given an adjustable one a while ago, which sadly did not fit the profile of the 200 I believe it came from a 410 but not 100% sure about that. Generally recoil pads have a couple of points on them where there are screws. On a quality name such as AA they will be (and NO I AINT BEING FUNNY HERE) believe it or not 'Plugged' for want of a better word. I'll get me camera and you can see what I mean this really is a case of Butt Pluggin Gimmie a few minutes. I would get one that is designed for your rifle or get one that is to be filed down to the profile of your stock (the aluminum ones are probably the best I can think of). Phantom Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Right 1st Your recoil butt pad will look something like this The top circle and the bottom circle are rubber "plugs" Use a thin blunt screwdriver or as I did a table knife to prize out the plug like so This will reveal the holding screws that are drilled into the stock. Unscrew the steel screw and repeat the entire process for the other one at the bottom. Then begin prizing through the adhiesive that has been used to secure the pad to the stock, its hard work!!!! and thats how you remove the recoil pad (but lest face is its not a recoil pad on a PCP, its a butt pad!!) You have no idea how hard I've laughed writing this and trying to keep it clean for you young man :11: especially after the worst day of my life so far! Phantom Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
lol im afraid its just not there tony. you have a CZ butt pad on your s200, but because 400/410 stocks series are made by minelli they have different butt pad with no fixings. i think i may have to contact air arms. andyfr1968 772
Ok now, sensible head on.... If there's deffo no screws then it's glued on and they can be a real pain to remove. One way to make it easier is to place the pad and the back of the stock into hot water for a while to soften the glue but even then it's hard work. Cheers. Quote Link to post
Mirk 0
A standard AA butt pad is held on with 2 phillips screws. 1 1" from the top and other 3/4" from the bottom. Slide the a screwdriver through the pad and find the screw head. Their is a small slit in the pad but is hard to find as the rubber hardens after a while. Hope this helps. Quote Link to post
