advice on rearing ducks

ive just got some land sorted and thinking of rearing around 1000 ducks on there to sell on for shooting i know the basics about sheds,drinkers etc just wondered if anyone can give me average prices of day olds and how much they sell for as growers?? a good place to buy the day olds from?? and would it really be worth the hassle!! also any useful info would be great

ahh ducks ducks ducks. well you cant go rong with them realy give them heat for 10 days water and feed and they will do very well. drinkers use nipple drinkers if you can or the WILL flood the place out and make a duck shit slop pond. feed starter crumb for 5-6 days in chick trays or plant trays (the black ones 30cm by 60cm) then duck crower from then on to wheat we give them a bit of wheat after 2 weeks just to ease the feed bill. ducks can eat like holy hell. do about 80p to 1pound 20. and about 3 pound at 6weeks old.
