jigsaw 11,863
It was my first day out since last february and boy did i enjoy it.The only concern was the heat,it was scorching at 9 o clock.I decided to go to a few warrens that are on flat open land so Sonic would see what exactly happens when a ferret is shoved down an inhabited warren. We got to the first paddock and netted up a 5 holer, the grass was up to my shins and the ground was rock hard.Geting the pegs in the ground was a hell of an effort. All ready and ferret put in,Kevin placed himself in a spot where he thought he might get a few nice pics.He didnt do bad at all,the photos below are all his doing. In no time there was the tell tale sound of a rabbit moving below ground,He was reluctant to shift and the hob was doing his best to get him out.Sonic duly registered that there was something happening,he posed and listened to the activity under his paws. When it happened Sonic wasnt sure what exactly he was supposed to do,a rabbit bolted and taz was on it like a flash, Sonic then joined in and tried to grab the rabbit but Taz was having none of it but I think in a few more excursions he'll know exactly what is what.I found Taz to be very heavyhanded with the rabbits and nets today but she should revert back to her usual self once we brush the cobwebs off and get her plenty of work.anyway heres a few photos of the day.We had 6 rabbits in an hour and it was just too hot to carry on.Hopefully next weekend again we'll get some more experience for both dogs and owners. first warren and killers are poised :lol1: yep theres something happening,i can hear it and so can I another one done for sonic geting involved, the penny is droping slowly. Sonic geting the feel of fur in his mouth. going nowhere. hope you liked the pictures and the write up. 2 Quote Link to post
