jclay91 12 Posted August 24, 2010 Report Share Posted August 24, 2010 my mate had a collie he rescued from a kennels when she was about 4, we used her lamping and when ferreting, she had a good turn off speed and caught many rabbits and rats for us. when my mate got a lurcher we took the collie out with it and used her to show the young un what to do Quote Link to post

I lamped both a bitch and a dog both picked it up quickly. The only problem i had to over come was that the bitch loved to hunt on after the rabbit had hit cover. Very good sport. Quote Link to post
MOUSE TRAP 19 Posted August 24, 2010 Report Share Posted August 24, 2010 hi lads i also had a collie x lab but took more to the collie i started her off with taking the air rifle with me and the ones that were hit but managed to run i would slip her she turned out a great rabbit dog and a few hare on the lamp pre ban i would have another only wish i took a pup off her r.i.p old dog 17 years old now i have 2 lurchers and love it so get a lamp and get her out Quote Link to post
