jasper65 6
Saw these two after the hazel nuts earlier today! these critters doing untold damage to the trees in the area! also robbing all the fruit off them. all I can say is I must be more patient with old age . it seemed like a aternity before the other one showed his face when the first was downed! they need culling in the area due to their numbers and damage they cause, there is hundreds of the bloody things running havoc... Both was shot from a crouching position. The first one presented himself perfect hanging out over a branch and was dispatched cleanly, the other seemed to take forever to show himself again, by this time pins and needles was burning up and down my legs before he finaly amerged from cover, this one was clipped beside the jaw and out near his ear, he certainly wasn't going anywhere and also dispatched quickly but the shot placement wasn't as perfect as the first... Its funny how somtimes this gun is on fire, today it was a diamond with Both squirrels genuinly shot from around 40 - 45 Yards from behind a thick nettle patch, I'm always quick to blame the gun when I have a bad day but deep down I'm sure that 99.9% of the time its my fault... The stock nut had come loose and my grouping were about 6 inches wide I just put it down to me having a bad day and went home. Nice shooting Jasper Get em peeled and in the oven I love Cajun food and there aint nothing more Cajun than a good old Spicy Squirrel When Elvis Presley was a youngster, he practically lived on them Phantom Quote Link to post

Firstly as I was wakeing up in the recovery ward, the bloke next to me (who'd had a local..) was talkig at a thousand miles an hour, babbleing like a loon to his Mrs. The local hadn't worked properly and he could feel the cuts!!!! He was quickly wheeled off to a private room.... Next my wife tured up, we'd recently split but were still friends at that point (gone tits since though) then my new girfriend also turned up. One of the nurses came over and said that only one visiter at a time was normally allowed to which I relpied, 'It's ok, this one's my wife and this one's my girlfriend'. You can imagine the look on her face..... Cheers..... Quote Link to post
