Bagging is the excess amount of mesh in the longnet that tangles the rabbit up simply

You dont want the net to be like a tennis net  if your after 50yds of longnet you'll want 100yds of net(like the tennis net) on a top and bottom line 50yds long, this equates to 100%bagging, as for height of the net :whistling: well thats a personal choice that gets debated regularly, myself longnetting at night 18" works for me  stop netting during the day and I'll set it at no more than 24" but as I say others may choose different heights.

Buying sheet netting will definately be quicker than making one yourself but dont let that put you off making your own as your 2nd net

Good Luck

do you make nets ?

as you will need to learn this to add ur selveges to ue top and bottom meshes

maybe just buy a 25yd to see if you get on with it rather than buying 200yds of sheet netting and messing it up

theres loads of videos over the net showing you how to do this

try rabbiters.co.uk and look at agutis videos

There is no need to add selvedges to sheet netting they are made with the net. You need to add selvedges to hand made nets because of the way they are made.
