3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy

Recommended Posts

Hello im new on this site, but it would be nice to know if anybody

is working this cross of lurcher.

i have this breed of lurcher, who is now nearly 10 months old and is 21 tts.

his had a couple of starters ie, young rabbits in net.

his been a pleasure training, all the usual sit, stay, jumping, retrieving rabbit fur dummy

daytime from cover, and also on lamp, but it has taken a lot of hard work, but well worth its

weight in gold.. he loves having a mooch in the bush, but im just letting him mature a bit more.

His good with my ferrets, all in all his a nice little dog, gonna try him at a year old on the lamp

with a couple of easy runs, squatters.

PS great website, wish you all a good season ahead, all the best....

Heres my 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy, 12 months old an 22" been a joy to bring on so far, very biddable and easy to train. Will be taking him out next month with an experienced dog, and givin him some easy runs on his own. atb with yours.

Thanks for reply & photo Dunkanon, your boy is handsome, is he fast?

i would say that my boy is trained, showing ability, allthough can be stubborn sometimes,

and has been out watching educated dog doing the biz, but in my heart of hearts

i think honestly, he,ll probably catch a rabbit now, not being big headed,

but he like us , must learn to walk, before he can run..

i cant wait till his first rabbit, and only time will realy tell.

God Willing, Cheers mate, NO BAN...

I've had two of this cross. It was over 20 years ago and I did quite a bit of ferreting then. They were perfect for that job

and I had some fantastic sport with them.

I've just bought a bitch from a lad on this site, same cross again, she's just 12 weeks old, I'll stick a pic up when I get home in a few days. It's not that common a cross, good luck with them lads.
