I'm so, so pleased to read this...what a great friend you are. And what a fantastic bunch of people on THL.

I do hope your friend responds well to the treatment and I hope he knows that everyone is thinking of him and sending him lots of love.

SAD UPDATE 2nd NOVEMBER

It is with much sadness that i am doing this update to let all the lads know who offered ferreting to my mate that he sadly lost his fight against cancer and passed away on sunday night his mum & dad still cant beleave the amount of offers he had from total strangers on the THL to take him out and help him reach his goal. For the last few mths he had still been looking forward to going ferreting he had even been out and bought some nets as he thought the treatment was working and he was going to reach his goal..

All i can still say is thanks very much to you all for your offers as you did give him hope and something to look forward to over the last few mths..

Thanks

kev

Hello to all

I’m not sure if any of you lot can help but I am desperate for some very easy rabbit sets on some flat land that can be ferreted NOW or the next few weeks somewhere that can be more or less driven right up to this is not for me but for a friend of mine who is 43 years old with a couple of kids and has terminal cancer with only a short space of time left some of the members on here do know him but I cant say his name yet just in case he doesn’t want it public knowledge .He has for the last year raised his young ferrets with the goal of working them somewhere this season but sadly this will not happen now as time has caught up with him so I am asking the thl members if you can help me please ? . I have land myself to ferret on but it is hard going land up hills etc but cant be driven on so this will be to much for him to do now.

If any of you can help with a bit of easy ferreting something local to Bristol or the surrounding area please PM me.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Just a quick update for all the people that have sent offers of ferreting and their best wishes etc my mate is starting some new treatment later this week so he will be out of action for about 3 weeks as this new drug is ment to slow things down (so fingers crossed it work ) but on a good note he was over the moon tonight when i told him i have sorted some ferreting out for him so he now has some good days out to look forward to and has a goal to aim for so thanks to ALL the thl members you are a top bunch and you have made his day ....Thank you kev

Very sad news my thoughts are with you and his family at this sad time

So very sorry to hear about your friend.

You were a true friend to him and he was lucky to have you in his life.

Please pass on my deepest sympathies to his family.

I'm glad he had something to look forward to during his last months.

Very sad news, but what a friend you are kev :toast: , your friend wanting a day out when he wasnt well shows how much hunting means to people, when its in your blood its there and nothing will take that away as this proves too me , a man seriously ill and 1 off his wishes is to get out doing a bit of ferreting, WHAT AN INSPIRATION TO US ALL :notworthy: , great respect to all who offered a day out
