I dont know much about german shepherds but my mate had a boxer that used to fit about once a month and after a while It got severe and more often, and he had to have the dog put down. I do know that a diet of good quality food helps. To be honest my dog is fed on dry and gets tripe now and again. I really wouldnt want to say anything about pedigree on an open site.........

Im sorry to hear about your mates boxer, since posting this topic and reseaching epilepsy in dogs it seems boxers and G.S.D are prone to fits. I now understand the importants of a correct diet, but all advice greatfully recieved.

I have changed her diet to James Well Beloved which has no beef, no pork, no soya, no wheat, no dairy and no eggs. I also purchased Dorwest Veterinary, SCULLCAP AND VALERIAN tablets and she has not had another fit which I am so happy about. A big thanks to everyone who has offered advice which has really helped me i really appreciate it. Cheers
