Hello Mr Foxdropper

Im not seeing bucks follow a doe now, not for the last week or so. I was seeing mainly the last week of July and first week of August.

They must have had some form of rut and i have seen bucks with does, but not in the usual places. A buck was chasing a doe way back in early june :icon_eek::blink: . I had a walk last week to a little place i know and the roe rings were very visable so he must have been running her around. :victory:

The rut on local ground seems to be long, drawn out and quiet compared to other years. Plenty of young bucks coming into the call, the odd mature buck with a doe, does still with kids, does on their own.

I dont think the full moon at what is normally the peak date each year has helped much, with rutting activity continuing through the nights more than often.

Ive not seen many "well run" bucks either, they look to have kept their condition reasonably well round here. I think its worth taking the call for the next three weeks
