I check them in my garden before every time i go out. Only takes 5 mins and reduces the chances of wounding or missing. I carry a few laminated targets to stick onto trees in my pocket incase i forget, or think i may have knocked it off zero while hunting

I usually do mine as soon as I arrive on permission.

Reason being my turrets are finger adjustable and dont lock down so it can be knocked out as I bring it out of the slip.only ever altered one time and that was my fault

Same here as it only takes the slightest knock while on your way to your permission to knock the scopes off zero. I dont always take targets to check my zero, I sometimesuse a knot in a fence post or tree :tongue2:

You see, Tony, that's where you're going wrong. Always takeing the easy way.....

The pure skill and pleasure of being able to hunt with an unloaded gun that's still in it's slip has to be experienced to believed.....
