career 707 banned

Recommended Posts

What makes you ask if they are banned?

There are people on here who own them  I believe that they are FAC rated though?

But as always I am open to correction on that point.

Thanks for that Sean,

Seem to remember a thread on here fairly recently that stated the owner had just got an FAC and had his 707 on it.

SS: Yes your correct they can be turned up for prety hefty output.

I've heard of these rifles producing 80ft.lbs :whistling:

Kyle

Ive been out with the monkey gun a few times and they are lethal the one ive been out with was knocking 60ftlb out on a FAC and i was told it could be turned upto 90ftlb but big heavy pellets are needed to keep it accurate and you dont get so many shots on full power, probably better of getting a rimmy if you need that kind of power, ive never heard anything about them being banned though.

The law says "capable of producing more than 12 ft.lb's" so I would suggest that if they are easily adjustable, they should be on an FAC.

For 60 pls ft.lb, I agree, the rimmy's the way to go. Subs in 40gr run out at about 100 ft.lb, and the rifle costs much less, plus you have the option of standard and high velocity rounds for situations where a bit more gumption is required.

that must mean nearly every gun on the market should be on fac then as most of them are capable of over 12ftlbs

I think it's down to how easily a gun could be adjusted. I've never played with a career, but I'm led to believe that it's very easy to make them produce more than the legal power. Most rifles need a considerable amount of work to do so.

well i was offered one only last week for £300, the guy said he did have it up to 80lbs but will turn it down to 12 for me if i wanted it . but the fact that it can go up to that high is a worry to me because me being a man that likes abit more then i would be temted to turn it up and see [bANNED TEXT] it can do. which isnt a good idea .
