tag 29
yes they should do it single handed , ..... would you keep a rabbit dog that couldnt catch rabbits ?? ive got a half x pup she,s 6 months old , bred out of some very good dogs , but if she cant do exactly what she was bred for she,s gone, theres no point me keeping her because she may catch other stuff , when i can get a dog better suited for catching other stuff, she,s got to do her job better than the dog she,s replacing , my older bitch at the minit kills single handed no problem and she,s less than a 1/4 bull , so for me a dog thats 1/2 bull absolutely has too , i havnt got her just so i own a dog with a big head , working ability first , every time ....... dogs-n-natives 1,182
any dog bred for fox that jacks it in single handed, is a cull, no questions. Quote Link to post
ianh 83
its a shame the same isnt done with the useless owners that cant get their dog doing what they want and ship it off, or worse, when it aint even fully ready yet. Quote Link to post

lurcherman 28
Never was a dedicated fox man before the ban, but I've seen both used to the same effect. Seen some great big dog/smaller dog combos work great in the smaller fields where the quick off the mark acceleration of the smaller, lighter dog kept the fox out of the hedges. spot on, its ok having solo dog GREAT, but when you bump into them feckers who have seen the lamp before, you will alot better chance to catch+kill with 2 dogs WTF if the dog your running single handed is faster than the dog you running it doubled up with how the f**k you got more chance eh??
