Hannah4181 260
I've used it, i get various bits and pieces free so gave it a go on the mutts . . . . . . but i still wormed with drontal as well, due to their consumption of bunnies fresh from the field. I found that it killed ticks on the animal but they stay on, deeply secured. My terrier got a nasty infection round a tick bite site, and the only reason i can think is because the tick was still in bedded even though it was dead. With frontline i have never found the ticks remaining on the animal dead.

daiboy 3
so drontal for worms then , could i use both if i dose on seperate dates ? kev you can use both as drontal is every 3mths and effipro or frontline is every 4/8 weeks. Hi, Hannah I am also a bit of a medical or whats best for the dogs freek . lol I use advocate only for the simple purpose of lung and heart worm, I use The Royal Veterinary College Bearsden (simply due to previouse SEVERE PROBLEMS in the past) and they advised that advocate is a good allrounder with proper fur / hair examination . But admited that you will be hard pushed to find a product on the market that will beat Frontline and Drontal for worms ,ticks and fleas , but sadly Advocate does some but not all, but still is the only one to be affective against heart and lung worm !!!! Most can be treated but these two are deadly with no effective cure!!!
