terrier410 53
so she should of had insurance like we all have to have in this country before we travel abroad which is normally checked at sign in no diss to you clint but we have nothing to learn in this country about helping people you pay your do's you get what's coming to you. (although there are a lot who have paid nothing and still expect to be treated like royalty).

tsteve9999 456
The EU health card covers all medical treatment but the Greek hospital have told this woman that they cant do the operation she needs, so the money is for getting her back to a UK hospital by air ambulance. The EU card doesn't cover this. Me and my missus have been on motorbiking holidays all over Europe for the past 10 years with just this card as insurance, I'm bloody glad now we didn't have a bump.. bert the fert 28
It's a few years ago now, but my step-sis and her partner went over to France to do a charity, tandem parachute jump. The chute and emergency chute failed but quite miraculously they survived. Bad injuries though.... they weren't covered by insurance and had to pay the air ambulance home out of their own pockets. Cost them a bomb.

Hannah4181 260
"Lost her footing" . . . Who loses thier footing and falls upwards over a balcony wall!?!?!?!?! . . . . . and anyone stupid enough to go abroad without travel insurance has no place to whine and moan when it all goes wrong. I get an annual policy every year that covers all trips i make over the year, never have to think about it. They give travel insurance away with most bank accounts now . . there is really no excuse! Exactly! My theory is they were re creating the lift scene from dirty dancing, on the balcony, drunk as skunks . . . . School boy error, everyone knows the best place to practice lifts is in the water!
