The estate where that was shot is going to be busy with lads/lasses and their working dogs :tongue2::whistling:

Nutria?

I had to google that :icon_redface: What it described though was an omnivorous, semi-aquatic creature. Though i suppose if they've escaped from captivity then they'll try and survive in whatever environment they find themselves.

p.s. nutria seem quite cute

They live in this country, mostly down south, they were released from fur farms years ago and got into the water system. They are a pain in the ass, undermining banks etc. Look at a pic of one - looks like that beastie.

I didn't know they'd established themselves, but it's not surprising given other successful fur farm escapees.

All I can say is I'm very glad I don't live on that housing estate.... :o:o:o

That's the most repulsive thing I've ever read...these things appear regularly in their sitting rooms and kitchens....? OMG.

I was on the phone to my mum-in-law last week, and mid sentence she let rip with such a squawk..... because a big rat had wandered in through the open front door and was regarding her speculatively. Mind you, she's forever putting food out for the birds so rats are a given, really.

It looks live a normal rat to me if you hold any item up against the camera it always makes it look bigger, then the sun news paper goes and exagerates it with a load of tall stories and hey presto we have super rats here now. :whistling:
