Best bull x,s i ever seen run were the genuine half x,s from the mid to late ,s...never seen anything like em since...maybe because the bull side of the breeding was untainted with other blood which we see too much of today..atb stabba

for the uk perhaps still able to find top class pure bulls if you know where to look.

Never seen the need to introduce Bull blood to the strain of a lurcher,

although there is not a true lurcher ,I like to think the Collie cross is the true ( LURCHER )ie, all rounder day and night.

 

If you want to add such things to a lurcher you just attract attention ie,

(DEVIL DOGS) As I think you would agree, this is seen more and more in every day papers.!!Again my opinion.

 

Christ !!!!! (excuse the phrase) I was out a walk the other day (Also with a few others from the site) and saw some youngsters out with there TYSON'S and REX'S ,(bad boy dogs) and so on, there dogs were chasing cows!!!

 

Now I understand all Bull men if not most dog men would hang there head in shame if this had to happen to them !!!!!!!! But again it seams to be a status thing for youngsters any way, if the dog looks like a machine it acts like a machine!!!!

 

Yes true without training and proper entering as I'm sure you will agree it will be stone wall daft ,maybe bite a wean!!!!(Who know it's good to speculate)

 

But the moto seams to be :-

 

(Get the Bull breed, f**k the training ,entering and so on ,just get the dog and it will know it's job cause its a Bull cross)

Your first line, though stated, 'your' opinion, is IMO complete bollocks, as their is no such thing as a 'true' lurcher and collie crosses are no more 'true' than any other type!

 

Your second line is one of 'the' most damning things I have read on this site, all crosses have their place, all crosses have their uses and that shouldn't matter if that cross is of no use to you! To use a slanderous media term in the context of 'our' hunting dogs on this site is fecking bang out of order!!!!

This little minshaw bitch, owned by my cousin has a splash of bull in her....(not sure of the exact percentage though)but she has constantly proved herself on everything single handed over the last 3-4 years...........undoubtably one of the best grafters I've ever seen..or perhaps likely to see.

 

She is certainly impressive........Shame I cant take credit for her!

i think theres different areas of graft mate , ive a good honest bitch on the lamp , and very single handed , takes her nocks and gets on with it , and never lets me down ,a quick killing bitch , she,s less than a quarter bull in fact she,s got more saluki in her than bull , but around a hole its different story , she still does her job but seems to be a bit less wreckless in her method , ive seen and owned bull xs that just seem to { destroy} for want of a better word whatever their hunting and nothing would stand in the way , the keen ness and pray drive is just something different it may come across as wreckless but its the sort of working style that never stops amazing me i think that this atitude is down to the bull mentality .. or terrier blooded ness in the dog and can only really be seen when the dogs upside down trying to get its head in a 4 inch hole , their are lots of dogs that look well grafted yet will only take quarry.... " on top " but i think the extra terrier blooded dog is more suited for the terrierman type work yet can be left wanting in many other areas atb .......

this is my bullx that is in my kennel 365 days but you can wank over him if you want ..he is 6% shrt of 3/8 5/8 bull gray ..and ithink that the lads no what graft iam on about ...
