MuttleMcTuttle 21
The second shot is the best (from a photographic point of view). The first shot shows the moth off best, but I really like the 2nd one When you're photographing real close-up stuff you'll find you have very limited depth of field (or depth of focus) but in these shots you have the focus on the important part (the head and eyes). Selecting the smallest aperture (f22 or whatever your lens goes to) will give you a little more depth of field but obviously your shutter speed will be slower, so you will need either a very steady hand, a tripod (and a stationary subject) or turn the ISO up a bit to compensate. What do you want to know about editing? The shots look okay to me, although the third one looks like it's almost got a cross-processed effect? Subjects on white backgrounds are always tricky, so you've done well You're not daft, merely in danger of becoming addicted to photography

SNAP SHOT 194
Good starting point indeed, i prefer now to let the camera and myself do the work rather than use programs, i'm concentrating more on settings etc to achieve the best picture possible... good luck with it, macro's my fav too.... i wouldn't say i'm brill but i'm learning. Snap.
