Good to hear your gonna give a comp another go LDR, even though it does have to skip a year.

Though IMO it would be a damn shame to retire Bruce, i done it once, put a crackin bitch into full retirement, she faded faster than i'd of ever hoped. A damn shame, she 'melted' before my eyes, from old and grey but rock solid and keen, she became a shadow of her former self and simply pined away, i'd have much rather she died 'tryin'!! Sommat i've always felt gulty about.

Keep the comp goin LDR, feck the idiots, i only wish these days, i owned sommat worth puttin in!

Why on earth should the final be run again ??? It was run on Tomo's land and all parties left happy, with no complaints, even though there was a lack of rabbits.

your right iceman it was a poor show for the final, it was on my land and i was very embarrased about the numbers we cought, nothing to do with the dogs, just a sheer lack of bunnys on the night.

 

if you look at my posts from earlier last season you will see a lot of big bags of bunnys taken , perhaps i over did it, and of course the final wasnt till the end of march after all the snow, which proberbly didn't help the bunny numbers.

 

one thing about these comps though, they realy should be run from sept till november at the latest

 

i steped in last minut to hold the final, cos of all the arguing on the site, i genuinly thought we would get at least 20, even on moonlit nights last year we were getting 30's, but it wasn't to be.

 

the good thing was meeting torchy and big boy, and there coming up for a look this autum to hopfully show them some good sport

yes ldr did say they would get 60 runs, he did say that though in the summer, had the final been run in the autum they may well have got that, woodga who's land it was gets scores like that up there on good night even getting over the ton.

 

with hindsite ldr should not have said they would get 60 runs, because there's nowt worse, than trying to garrante numbers on a nights lamping.

regardless of the number of rabbits caught in last years comp.i went in for one reason only and that was to meet like minded people and i would have a meet with anyone of those people again.ie paid,tomo,jolong,ldr,c/g
