Fat-Ferret 857
Dont muzzle your ferret. If you happen to loose it, it hasnt a chance and will suffer a long slow death. Quote Link to post
stubby 175
how can people still think it ok to muzzle a ferret Quote Link to post
Ron Weasley 83
thinking about buyn a mussel for my ferrets to stop them killin down holes they dnt kill big rabbits its the small ones a dnt wont them killin would a mussel stop them from killing ? Do not do that in any circumstances. Just don't. Muzzling ferrets is an 'olden days' approach to ferreting. All it does is mean leave your ferret unable to defend itself if it should come up against a rat, or a stoat for example, and ensure that in the event that you lost it, it'll die a long painful death by starvation. It's a big no no. Quote Link to post
anthonytomo 8
dont mussel it mate but i can understand where your coming from tho just feed it abit before you go out or wait till the rabbit babies grow abit Quote Link to post
The one 8,482
Muzzling a ferrets probably highly illeagal these days and what if it meets something other than a rabbit down a burrow ?? Quote Link to post
Jamie m 668
Another option wait till the season starts Quote Link to post
scothunter 12,609
i thought this practise was left in by gone days.as others have said in no account muzzle a fert and enter it into a warren. Quote Link to post
tote 854
Another option wait till the season starts There can be plenty of young rabbits about even during the "season" Jamie. To be honest I've never had much bother with ferrets killing young rabbits, it usually takes them no time at all to kill them then they move on to the next occupant in the bury. Quote Link to post
The one 8,482
Be interested to see where you could buy a ferret muzzle though ,the few ive seen on ebay go for a pretty penny these days Quote Link to post
scothunter 12,609
Why not go the whole hog and snap their eye teeth of.or get you mum to sew its gob up. Quote Link to post

KittleRox 2,147
theres also a chance of the ferret getting cuaught up in tree roots etc,not worth the risk Quote Link to post
Scousejoe 0
Get a locator instead of a muzzle,or as said before Waite a while till there's less chance of youngns mate Quote Link to post
