welshwizard 33
I had a Wheaten dog pup here about ten years ago. I think he came direct from Tom Parr, what a dog, he was fearless at eight weeks old. I will root the snaps out. Quote Link to post
welshwizard 33
Here is a snap of the Wheaten pup we had here, I think he ended up about seventeen inches, I don't know whether that is big or small. Quote Link to post

guyliath 15
Love Wheatens, great thread guys, and some lovely looking dogs, particularly the old black and white snaps. What is the consensus on quality, do you have to go to the emerald Isle to get a good one? all the best & keep the piccies coming, G Quote Link to post

I beleive you need to be put in touch with the right stuff over here G. I have seen various crosses and all had no reverse gears.A great breed. Not at all saying a sound pup could not be obtained across the water but top breeders (and there are not many) are definately this side of the pond,H. Quote Link to post

Cheers hatcher, I see from what you are saying that they were game and hard ( the crosses), did they have any brains with it, or just smash up merchants? drop me a PM if you have a sec keen to know the good lines from ireland. bolio 49
Here is a Wheaton i lined to my bitch tom parr lines he is around 20" Don't intend to start shit but that is a k.c. bred wheaten. The coat is a dead give away. I would go as far as to say there is American blood in it! M. Holmes campaigned against this type of coat for years. Not that it would make a bit of difference from a working perspective. But the show types weren't selected for work anyway so it's irrelevant. Quote Link to post
