CarraghsGem 92
what pisses me off is folk selling dogs on the blogs Quote Link to post
optimus 447
The season is just about upon us and yet theres dozens of dogs for sale..whats the craic there then? All still with the same old excuses of ..its too big..its too little...ive been kicked out..ive split with the missus. Bet within a month the folk parting with em will have got another dog on. Ffs when you get a dog all these things should have been taken into consideration.Get a grip lads. Also it seems to be the same old faces doing the selling...rant over...atb stabba I THINK WITH ALL THE HEAT THAT`S ON DOG MEN JUST NOW SOME PEOPLE ARE NOT GIVING THEIR DOGS A FAIR CRACK BEFORE MOVING THEM ON. SOME ARE JUST 2 SCARED 2 DO AS MUCH RUNNING AS BEFORE OR GO 2 CERTAIN AREA`S BUT WONT ADMIT THAT GETTING DECENT RUNNING IS BECOMING A YOKE MORE THAN SPORT 2 THEM. HOWEVER THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THE SWOPPERS`S & QUITE FRANKLY THOSE THAT COULDNT KEEP WHITE MICE. Quote Link to post
DeanD 3
If people didn't post pics of their dogs, there would be far less selling. Those pics along with the stories of glory attract would be buyers. I'm pretty sure most people know that, and yet there they are posted by none other. :protest: Some things never change, good or bad. Such is life. Quote Link to post

genuine 81
I agree with you completely mate! Me for one would never buy a dog off here or any other so called running dog magazine where dogs are advertised,i may take a chance of a free to good home 100% dog if i realy need to but if it didnt do the job it would see the barrel simple as! I will only buy or be given dogs from proven dogs which ive seen work, usually these pups are free and any unwanted are under the water simple as! Too many f**k wits about breeding shit! People always make there dogs out to be world beaters but they never talk about the times the one gets away, or the terrier comes out and anyone saying there dog has never done it is full of SHIT because ive seen the best of the best take too much, not jacked but just couldnt do what was expected on occasions! Im no lier ive no world beater sitting here she take alot of stick and sometimes pulls away and has had enough, but gives me 100% everytime, she excelles at other jobs IE rabbit deer hare etc so im happy i much prefre terrier and teethed stuff anyway! But one thing id never do is breed from her and big the pups up to be something there not id be truthful! ATB G Quote Link to post
stroller 341
i agree with stabba take the dog section out of the for sale board. let the dog dealers and summer hunters find there dogs elsewhere, neither have a conscience, they dont give a f**k about dog, man or property 1 Quote Link to post

FightTheBan 1,147
Hey, Its not just dogs...it's society in general. Everyone wants it handed to them on a fecking plate. Why work for a living... when you can claim benefits. Why breed your own line and work hard to improve it...when joe blogs will give you one for 100 quid. Why buy a pup and give it the time, effort , dedication and patience required to make it a good'un ... when you can buy a 100% worker on here for £. It's sad. FTB Quote Link to post
wuyang 513
Just to add my pennies worth. It has always sickened me how many young adult or fully grown lurchers you see for sale, yes some genuine, but most whos owners just want to try something different or give up too easily. It really does boil my blood. I can't understand why people just don't research what dog they need, buy the dog, enter it properly and stick with it until its days are over. I have had a few different dogs and not one that failed me or was shit. Yes they have had set backs but you have to work through these. I can also never net my head around these hard talking machos if it dosn't make the grade it won't be in my kennel it'll get a bullet etc etc...........most of the fault in my eyes is in the owner....and only a very small percentage down to the dog. scothunter 12,609
im not looking for a world beater,my last lurcher was a proficient fox killer and was ok at the bunnies.she was nothing special in the field, however she was special to me and got her pts last week at the age of 16yrs.got a new pup and ill train her and give her the best, but if she dont become a great worker then so be it,but she will stay with me and be looked after until she passes away.but yea there are loads of pups this year and the sad thing is there prob a lot that will be kicked from pillar to post and thats just shit.grew up with greyhounds and was seriously involved in racing them and was pretty succesfull gave it up when my dad died ,but the stories and things i saw from supposed doggy men in that game was actually f*****g sickening. scothunter 12,609
think people just dont put enuff thought into things mate, especially breeding, but when a genuine guy gos to sell a dog for a genuine reason it gets the same looks and thoughts as others because of the messers, but i dont think taking away the for sale section would do any good because although it doesnt look it, there are genuine people on this site and hopefully some if not all the dogs for sale on here go to genuine lads. agreed guy i got my pup from here and his pups are credit to him very healthy and obviously looked after.
