well i got out for a hours shooting

hi ya folks

well here it goes i went to go shooting today but got a call wasps nest hummm ok then i'll be there went and done that job and then i'll go shooting at the golf course so off i went when getting there i saw a pigeon just sat in the tree looking at me getting sort number 1 to start with

once that one was in the bag i was happy i lased it at 29mtrs perfect shot to the head so with that i chucked it in the car and off i went for a walk around, got to the tree line on the course to see another woodie so i got the LRF out and gave it a once over to see it was smack on 37mtrs but as there wasnt any wind i knew it was a simple shot took aim and out the tree she fell number 2 in the bag

well its looking good tonight as it was getting dark i could see the rabbits out playing but no matter what i did i just couldnt get with 70 to 80mtrs of them before they were off so having the 2 woodies i was happy with that so off i went back to the car when i spotted a 3/4 rabbit sat on the green hummmm a bit far but lets see if i can get a little closer i got with in 43mtrs of the rabbit before he spotted me dam will he run ???? so i lay down dropped the legs on the bipod and took aim and as it was getting very dark now i knew i had to take a second look at the rabbit i gave a squeek and he lifted his head but as i went to take the shot Mr Rabbit turned around now he has his back to me i need to see his head just half inch lift and he is mine but Mr Rabbit had other ideas and made me wait a good 10 to 15 minutes for me rabbit until he lifted that head of his now with it being at the back of his head i had to make sure i had a very clear shot to the brain so i took aim and well Mr Rabbit is now in the fridge already for dinner tommorrow

i dont really take head shots from the back of the head but as i knew i could make a clean kill and would not cause him to suffer i took the shot plus i had me boy vinny with me who was very helpful in bringing the pigeons back to me still intacked

me old pal cheers matey and the dark side is the best side finished that hw77 22 and i have just put a 4-12x50 on her and zero'd her in and 25mtrs and she is a little jumpy but i might send her off to get SFS treatment but so far she is spot on

hope all is well matey and glad to be able to get back to shooting too and yeah he was a sly one that wabbit lol but it didnt take long for vinny to find him and bring him back still twitching it was a good shot though through the back of the head and i found the pellet just the other side of the eye if you look the eye has blood in it the darkside severed me well hows things your side matey ?

yeah vinny is doing good buddy he has his up's and downs though it's the terrier in him and he does enjoy it though but if he is naughty i dont take him and his learnt that one already so if he is good he gets the heart and liver nice and fresh

it's the first blood thing they get the taste but dont know when to stop they just need to be shown and told in there way and that means no treats to vinny and he dont like that at all so he stays being good till he gets home lol
