Went to shoot for a couple o hours this morning,done better than yesterday 2 rats clean headshots from 1o yds.

1 crow/rook.1 wood pigeon +1 squirrel.wood pigeon was a crackin shot. Roughly 30 yds away up a tree,aimed lower than birds head,bang woody was dead before he hit the ground.couldnt see where i'd hit him till i took the breast off.ended up shooting it exacly where i'd aimed,pellet went into left hand side of chest.meant to be head shot but clean kill all the same.

Awright bud,it's went to a good home with a sensible (ish) owner.what did you swap it for ,the hw100s?

How far could you accuratley shoot with the s16 . I was down the other day to get a maggie deek and he had another one in the window and there was a guy in the shop with a mark 1 with a problem/

Now I'm used to gun ,I'm really likin it,its not that heavy when you are using it to hunt and only raising it to shoulder when there is something to shoot at.When I use it at the gun club it feels like my arms are falling off!

I got some Logun sg3 grease the other day to use on mag o rings and the bottle connection Oring. It seems to be loading pellets smoother,but this morning when i put the bottle on it was hissing from the Back of gun. I thought s**£t,thats my day over before it started,but just took bottle off and cleaned thread up + all was ok.

How did you find the S16 when you had it ,any problems ?

the lad in shop with mk1 was also me if i was fixing it myself lol if it was an older bloke ( not 26 ) it wasnt me lol as i know probs everything there is to know about s16's lol

no i bought the hw100s

and truth is i sold the s16 to my mate and he swapped it for a raider as u cannot get bits for them from the manafacturers any more so i sold both of them my mk1 and mk2

 

problems i had where it loves to eat barrel seals if u dont use it properly or keep it loobed or use pellets it dont like ( fussy rifle it is )

 

whats ur first name like do i know u ? where abouts u live in hartlepool? or dont u?

Cheers guys,I'm still learning but trying ma best. Getting used to new gun,enjoying the confidence it gives me to be more accurate compared to the father in laws Webley Vulcan I was using for the last year. on and off. Even the pigeon I shot in the left of chest was dead before it hit the ground,think thats the power and pellets though.I tried aiming just under its head as it was a long way away up a tree and I was looking up some info adn asking on here what i should do differentl when aiming shots up into trees.But pellet went straight to where I aimed,the angle wasmaybe 45 degrees.

couldnt sleepp this mornin so went up for some corvid action.found a nice hidey hole.will move to other location so as not to spook birds and let them learn my habits.

Got 2 magpie by using my cod liver oil capsules in their tub and giving them a shake,coupled with 2 crow deeks and 1 maggie deek.Then big bad ass crow landed to see what all the fuss was about.It was the last landing it will ever do. Learning bout these intelligent birds every time I;m out,but i like to think I;m smarter

 

Psssst ,dont tell the wife but the magpies are in the freezer to be used for decoys with a couple of Kebab skewers through them ,couldnt get no bike spokes.
