There were lot's of people on here encouraging Tris and wishing him luck finding permission, Andy even offered him a shoot with him on his permission, how kind and generous was that!

 

From the message you got from Tris on FB, it appears he is a selfish, self centered, user of peoples kindness and confidence.

 

You may have lost a scope mate, but Tris has lost a lot more, what a sad state of affairs.

Right, not all has been explained here.

 

With respect to all who have read this i can see how it might seem like a bad 'un. BUT, Garfield has left out a fair bit of personal communication that went off between ourselves. It's very to judge someone from half the facts; here's the other half.

 

I bought a rifle off him a while back, when i got home i realised he had left a scope of his in the box for the scope that came with the rifle. I contacted him the next day saying i would post it back to him. After a week or so, i still hadn't done it so i explained that it's going to take some time as i don't drive, i work leave the house at 8am and get in for 6pm weekdays and simply don't have the time to walk into town to the post office to send it, but i'll get around to it when i can. He was ok with this. Then a few weeks went by, where i didn't sign into THL as i was working even longer hours than usual - during this time sending his scope was not a priority and left my mind. I finally get a pissy message on Facebook (i can access that using my mobile) so i sent him a non-pissy message back explaining my situation and that if he wanted it back sooner perhaps he could arrange for a courier to collect? (bearing in my mind this wasn't my cock-up) He did and told me it was to come last Friday, i took the morning off and waited, when he came i gave the courier the scope and he asked me where the barcode was? I had no idea, i've done this before, i just got told a date for collection. So i messaged Garfield back on Facebook and got no reply, it had been a few days and i had got no reply so i thought i'd sign into THL and send him a message on here, only to discover pissy message and this forum post.

 

I've liked talking to the guys on here and have respect for all of them. But, i don't appreciate having my integrity put on display.

 

I feel like i'm willing to play ball with the guy, but he wants me to go out of my way, which had it been my fault i would of done. With not though, i'm prepared to meet the guy fairly. that's not good enough for him, so he uses forum posts like this to try and disgrace me into complying with his wishes? That's playground psychology and i don't care for it.

 

Garfield. Order the courier, send me the link for the barcode and you shall have your scope back. Simple.

nice try but how can i tell a one sided story if all i do is copy and paste? all your eloquent responses fail to highlight your actions! or should i say lack of them? you offered from the word go to send my scope back and didnt Fact! you then after a few WEEKS! then told me i should have it collected if i wanted it so desperately,and as posted above i am not the only one who got the impression from your msg's you went arsed about it all (general public opinion i might add) so what have i left out? i never said it wasnt my fault that you ended up with the scope but if you wernt prepared to do what you said you would why just not let me know straight away? instead you wait until now and try to take the moral high ground! i think not,most regulars on here have met me personally so dont try to question my honesty or integrity and certainly not over such a cheap scope, this is my FINAL post on this just so that other users are aware of YOUR behaviour.
