i'll be lamping in september then ferreting when its colder, not done much shooting this year due to my mate working and its his permission but it wont be long before we're ferreting

Ahoy ya feckin messer!!!You'll be looking October before the ferreting starts....the undergrowth hasn't reached full growth yet at Weardale.The big freeze has got things a few weeks behind,plenty of lead being dished out at the moment however the weather's knackered it this weekend.

Not seen any real small coney for a while now, but will still hold off to give the cover time to die off and to be sure. Might give the dog a few selected runs when the ground softens up though.
