Back from latest carp fishing trip

Hi guys, recently returned from my latest fishing trip and managed to sneak a few out of the lake

 

All fish fell to vision Baits LT94 freezer baits over a few kilo of freebies, Vision baits Bloodworm and red pepper extract pellets and bog standard spod mix with hemp, corn tuna blah blah blah, (in total I used over 23 kilo of boilie and over 25 kilo spod and pellet)

 

I managed 8 carp and 2 catfish, heres a few pictures of some of the fish, smallest first.

 

6lb kitten

 

 

11.4lb common

 

14.2lb mirror

 

14.8lb common

 

18lb mirror

 

20lb mirror

 

22.4lb common

 

23.14lb common

 

31.4lb mirror

 

39lb catfish caught in the blazing hot sunshine and took about 1 hour to get in and I had to get in the lake to get it under control

nice fish fella..not caught a catfish yet but its in the future...

You lads that like the carp should try my local canal i ballif on- Hungerford canal angling association.

although the boat traffic can be a twat unless you back lead.it holds fish ranging from 10lb to i believe the biggest weighed in so far this season 29lb..

and as for the tiddler bashing pole boys,you would fill yer boots

yeah, the catfish just wouldn't stop fighting and fighting and fighting, the lake I fished was 4 foot deep in the margins and up to 12 foot deep in the middle, it wanted to stay deep all the time and when it didn't it come into the margins for the overhanging trees and roots, so I had to get in the lake in the end and play it from there, it was awesome but being covered in a slimy snotty spunky like substance wasn't

great result john,like the heavily plated mirror,you got some snap in for them,i fished rainbow few years back and put 140kg of bollies alone in,it was 2wks mind,tunas a good tip, atb jamiew
