Just wanted to say hello to all and the local New York State Crew that may be members here also.

 

Monday the 9th was my best Pigeon day so far this year... 9 pigeons... So seeing huge numbers of the woodpigeons and barn pigeons posted sure makes me drool to some day be able to have as Much Shooting action in one day...

 

I Use my Remington 12 gauge Model 48 Sportsmen Full Choke ,Running some 2 3/4" #8 Shot threw it at the Pigeons and it seems to work out just perfect for me.Just got to Pick my shots as I have to shoot to my far left as the the right over the barn is a main roadway..... And the Pigeons leaving and entering the barn doorway,Know this I think as they circled high and then dive down on my far right and into the barn rafters till I toss a stone on the tin roof....But all in all it's such a blast.

 

Come September and we can add some crow hunting to the Pigeons,Starlings we been a chasing.

 

And with a change in ammo to Steel shot Early Goose season opens September 1st also...

 

So In a few weeks a win win Opener season for some of us.
