billy bronk 76 Posted August 13, 2010 Report Share Posted August 13, 2010 my m8ts collie bull grey whippet grey... it is mint on hares and i have saw the dog run 9 hares in 1 day and kill 8 9th 1 only got away as his dog slipped on right hand bend right in front of our feet as we tried to moved the dog wiped its owner out and the hare went throught fence so no dont fink you need saluki for a good hare dog atb total lamper Quote Link to post

get the beers in 1 Posted August 14, 2010 Report Share Posted August 14, 2010 had a 23tts whippit x greyhound a few years ago and he made a good hare dog . made easy work of them as well , mind saying that after 2 or 3 hares he was nackered , may be if he had a bit saluki in him who nose he cud of killed more , the most i had was 6 in one week day time good few years back when there was plenty of them about . not so many now about Quote Link to post
