about a month ago i sold 3 hob ferrets to a lady which she had for pets one of them has come down with something and she doesent know what to do

 

this is what she said

 

 

has had the shivers, runny tummy, lethargic sleeping loads and its like he's got a cold. He seems to get slightly better then goes down again

 

 

please dont take the piss i am only trying to help her out cheers r.t

if she's been to a vets, they would have charged her, and sold her something, pills,injection etc, no ammount of web forum info is going to ever beat advice or treatment from a vet, so if she's still asking, tell her to find another vet

It certain isn't a good vet if they don't realise that rhinoviruses are species specific, i.e. ferrets don't catch human colds.

If you live in the north west, it would be worth travelling to Andrew Hutchinson vetinary surgeon at Longridge. They're really good ferret vets.

But not human colds. Different type of virus.

Ferrets can catch ferret colds though.

First thing I`d do is seperate the ferrets, for one, so they dont pass whatever theyve got onto others, two, ferrets sense a week one and will try to kill it and then three if you value your ferrets then get them to the vets if it looks serious
