I genuinely think the biggest obstacle to over come is to give a reply that the person understands everyone's level of understanding very different ... its no good blinding folks with science if ther

They are in all the other sections - most of them don't like the idea of talking to other kids in the 'childs section' when they could post/read the other sections.

A lot of lads are reluctant to get involved with youngsters on a number of fronts.. Firstly we live now in a throw away society where seemly everything is desposable including dogs, now i know some of

:icon_eek: take it the police have taken the transmitter off yer ankle now then scent :whistling:

jokes aside,i tried helping a youngster from this forum.the little bugger sent me non stop PMs wanting to come out with me and even managed to get my mobile number some how

Its a worry, especially with predators like topnotch and scent still at large :rofl::rofl::rofl:

my local priest had a key to unlock the transmitter. Now i wonder what he was doing with a key like that

I just thought i would post my 5pence, I am 22 so I am relatively young and have ferreted since the age of 6. I also did falconry for a number of years and now will be shooting over a gsp, (pup that I am training). And I am also learning in the gundog section but I feel my ferret and falconry knowledge is fair. Now I am more than willing to help and be criticised but the problem is your opinion is normally rubbish to other members and also beginers dont seem to take much advice, I was reading a post in the falconry forum about a young boy wanting a gos as a first bird, to me that would be a handful, and I tried my best to advise him but he seemed to have none of it. It just seems that they are pissing on our chips. It seems everything is materialistic and can be sold or moved on and I think to some people its a phase thing, Also I feel hunting is a very threatened sport and if it gets more bad publicity it will be lost forever. Just to clear up any misunderstanding, I do not mean offence to anyone who takes offence to this reply. cheers

Very good point . My lad is nearly 16 and he is very lucky. We rear birds for shoots so he has a gun without paying the shooting fees .The guys on the shoot think because his dad shoots and ferrets etc they know it all but not so . He is lucky to pick bits of information from the different shooters . But what worries me other children dont have this and its a shame yes you get idiots on the site talking crap or not listening .But you also get the odd one who YOU have made a difference to . The young hunters are the future don't give up on them
