ferret muzzles

Recommended Posts

ferret muzzles, ive never used them, mostly cos im afraid if i ever loose a ferret it will starve to death, i havent lost one yet though while working.

what are peoples experiences and opinions of muzzles?

i am as yet undecided.

Don't even consider it, they are a thing of the past and should never be used.As you say if the ferrets lost it will starve to death, if it meets stoat, weasel, or mink to name a few, it can't defend it's self. Mike.

same as said above, cant defend itself.

years ago mate had a ferret that was always killing down the hole so he muzzled it and he ended up with more layups and digs cause it couldnt finish them off.

so would say steer clear i cant see any real advantage

in years gone by they also practised snapping the eye teeth from the poor buggers aswell.when you think of it they did some barbaric shit in the old days.lol

found a wee jill over 20 years ago that had already had this done to her.all 4 canines had been snapped and were brown and rotten, even after they had been taken out the wee git could still kill rabbits down the hole,so she had suffered for nothing :wallbash:
