Which Mainspring for HW77?

Which spring would you recommend? Ox or Titan?

 

Edited to ask whether you think I should just get a full weihrauch service kit?

titan xs mate got one in the hw80 and i'm guna get one for my hw77,ive heard bad things about them ox springs even my local gun dealer put me off buying one from him.

HW service kit every time for one of those. The right stuff for your gun and top quality.

 

Titan's are normally a very good quality spring, sounds like Benji's been unlucky with his but it'll put your 77 over the limit so don't do it.

 

OX? It'll ruin a lovely gun. They always over-spring whatever they're fitted to. Total crap.

My dad put one in his HW35e many moons ago, it broke the cocking arm with the first pull..

 

What about a gas ram?

I dont think you can get a gas ram for a HW77 because of the piston and trigger design.

It isnt my gun anyway, im doing the job for a mate. Its pretty tatty so I wouldnt want to spend a fortune on it anyway.

Stick with HW original parts, or as mentioned a Bonnie&Clyde kit.

Bonnie and Clyde, V-mach or Weihrauch original parts, mate. HW's are amongst the best and lowering the engineering quality with sub standard springs is a bit of a false economy. It'll only end up causing you to change them again!
