Just my certificate a few months ago and i've had 3 foxes with the little beast (17 hmr) I was just wondering if anyone had ,any luck with different coloured filters.I've only used red . Just bought a NS400 nightsearcher gun lamp and was wonderin if i need to bother buyin anymore filter's

Red is the least visible, amber/orange can be good. Steer away from greens, they are highly visible to foxes and rabbits. Blues also are highly visible.

 

Do you "need" to buy more? Well, are the foxes getting lamp shy? If yes, then a change of colour might help. If no, then no need to bother yet, though changing them around might mean it takes a bit longer for them to become conditioned to the filters.

a have never had any problem just using the lamp tried a few filters but never thought they did any good just my opinion :thumbs:

I have/had red for both my Mini and Max Pro, but after I lost the red somewhere in the field for my mini several years ago I have used nothing but clear/white light as it comes.....but the dimmer is essential in my book!! :thumbs:
