clint 45
No filter, keep lamp out from animal eye. Quote Link to post
dc5 0
I find an amber filter works well on the foxes. Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Red is the least visible, amber/orange can be good. Steer away from greens, they are highly visible to foxes and rabbits. Blues also are highly visible. Do you "need" to buy more? Well, are the foxes getting lamp shy? If yes, then a change of colour might help. If no, then no need to bother yet, though changing them around might mean it takes a bit longer for them to become conditioned to the filters. Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
i would take orange over red any day of the week at centrefire ranges. if your using the hmr then your range will be more limited so red will be more then enough Quote Link to post
coldweld 65
i have red but use white light all the time. Quote Link to post

bobthefox 0
We tend to find the filters give you a bloody sore head after a while. We only use the filters on the lamps to stop the lens getting scrached when not in use!! Quote Link to post
kingkeeper21 2
amber for me buddy every day of the week. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
I have/had red for both my Mini and Max Pro, but after I lost the red somewhere in the field for my mini several years ago I have used nothing but clear/white light as it comes.....but the dimmer is essential in my book!!
