Flight ponds - Any visitors yet ?

I have been feeding two flight ponds for a week.

Although the odd feather is seen there are no duck flighting at dusk.

They must be visiting in the night.

How are others faring ?

nothing as yet due to there being no water!

I was foxing near the flight pond last week ! Two pairs and a single came in and it's not been fed yet .

plenty on the pond near me but it does help having one shoot that releases 20,000 mallard plus other small shoots releasing them..all the feeding stops on their ponds at the run up to the end of the season but continues on the pond we flight them..

have had some fantastic evenings there on all duck and canadas.

These ponds are new- dug in July. The feathers have been regular mallard and teal. I got a pleasant surprise just now when going to feed it - 7 teal were there- the first I have seen. Lets hope they spread the word.

Things are looking up 10 teal were there yesterday and 16 this morning. If they keep multiplying like that in a week there should be quite a few.
