cúagusgiorraí 57
Hi Jamie, interesting clip there. I can see there is some differences to the way those rabbits are like compared to in my particular area. Those rabbits (in the clip) all seem to be sitting well out, and seem to be just running around aimlessly (perhaps?), and the dogs that are used are very greyhoundy, running wide with big turns and long strides. A dog like that wouldn't neccesarily do too well over here. Over in my area, the rabbits tend to be very close to the hole, and dart fast straight for the warren, if the dog doesn't snatch the rabbit up on the first turn, he usually looses it. So most the lads out our way like the small whippet types. Quick acceleration and turns. Anyways, not meaning to distract from your DVD selling. Its just an observation. Everywhere is different and every dog is different, and that is what makes hunting with lurchers so enthralling. All the best this hunting season Edited August 22, 2010 by cúagusgiorraà
