Working whippets

do you find your whips pick up many injuries? i was seriously thinking about getting pure but been put off by couple of people saying feet are too fragile in pure better mixing in something else.

he gets worked 3-5 times a week and does 45mins trotting on the road eveyday and his feet hold well :thumbs:

The key to whippets in my opion is plenty of road work to keep there nails down.

here is my blue Whippet Dog Dodger, kc Reg elgedane artic Shadow.

 

i mainy ferret with hardly any lamping, all i can say is he is fantastic and dose everything i ask. never hada prob with feet, stamina is fantastic and he works all day putting 110% into every run. and one of tghe most inprotant things id he great nose marking occupide sets and working cover and reeds picking up sitters.

 

heres a feww pics Dodger is about 19-20" and weighs 28lb

My bitch 19 inch 22lb, Never been injured and taken a good few knocks! was run over few months back hit about 30 yards up the street! thought she had it! got straight back up and came trotting back to me as if it never happened, was bruised up for a couple of days though! goes to show how tough these little dogs are!

Your dogs are excellent to look at .... really really like them :thumbs:

 

Not necessarily a 'worker' by most of your standards, but I take him out to play as often as I can: Nimrodel lines, IKC registered, 21.5"

He's a big strapping thing, a lot beefier than I was expecting. He's out mooching an awful lot, jumps, swims, turns on a sixpence, and has bags of energy. And,(knock wood, he's not had a scratch so far, despite running head first into a gate when he was lamping once - and regularly going arse over teakettle on rough ground :doh:
