22lr HMR WMR ammo pouch

Recommended Posts

If you use 22lr, HMR or WMR you might be interested in a bit

of info about carrying ammo.

There are many ways to carry ammo, target shooters needs may vary to a hunters needs.

Have a look & let me know what you think.

I thought of this along time ago, made it then forgot about it.

Just about to start useing it & thought I'd like to share it with you.

Easy to make, easy to use while still in the pocket, safe & secure.

Add a bit of reflective material for a just in case moment then It's ideal for lamping.

A good alternative is the MTM wallet.

What do you think ?

I did try out several similar things myself some time ago.......all with no joy !! on a cold/wet night i found that none of them were suitable for my own needs, so the best thing to do (in my opinion) is to save up the pennies and invest in a few spare magazines..... they can be filled up beforehand and located in a secure pocket...,dosent get much easier than that, atb

Spare magazines are good, but difficult to get hold of for some models of rifle. I use an air rifle pellet pouch. It seems to work ok.

Seems familiar...spare magazines wins it hands down for ease/speed/convenience, the only minus point is it can be quite an expensive option!:hmm:

still smiling here, picked up 2 x new 10 shot cz mags for £30 delivered from another forum :D

Ah, the joys of a "mainstream" rifle.

Try finding mags for a little known Austrian made semi going by the name "Voere". They're around the £50 each, WHEN you can find them, which is rare!

Over the years ive invested in spare magazines, i have 4 for the 22 rimfire and 2 for the 17 hmr.....definatley the best option but as stated above, its also the most expensive option...,my rifles are anchutz and wierauch and spare mags cost around around £50 each.. :o

Yes I've got a couple of those wallet/boxes, they work just fine, I keep mine in my jacket pocket

they dont rattle and keep the bullets from bashing each other to bits!

However I have a 'Riflecraft' stockpack on my .22, it's a nice piece of kit, with a zipped pocket on one

side and a soft leather cheek rest on the other, all held in place by velco straps. I keep two loaded spare

mags in the 'zippy' bit and spare ammo in the boxes, !Simples! They are dedicated Right or Left hand so make

sure you tell them if your a lefty (like me)

Keeps those mags safe and sound, (Just as well with SAKO plastic 5 shots at £40 a pop)!
