adammubu 0
hi all. im looking around for permission around my area. and my brother stumbled across a farm a while back that said they had a problem with rabbits and he told them that i kept ferrets and was wanting to work them. the only thing is, im worried about going up to see the farmer as i am only 15 years old and this will be my first season of ferreting so im very unexperienced. if permission is given though. i do have some experienced people coming with me to show me how its done. any tips of advice to how i should go about asking the farmer, without making myself look incapable, and not want him to let me ferret? eye in the sky 0
confidence is the key mate you know what your doing most farmers dont ask questions to be honest they just want to see results as for the fact your 15 big deal 15 20 30 we all do the same job you say your taking experienced ferreters with you when hunting will one of them not go with you to see farmer giles final comment is if you dont ask you dont get mate Quote Link to post
Nathan_R 10
Hi Adam, Do you know the people who are going to help you with the ferreting well? If so, ask them to go with you when you visit the farmer to ask for permission. They may even be able to get references from their permissions which would be very helpful. Failing that, ask one of your parents to go with you. It will probably help to give a better impression that you are keen and responsible. Try to avoid taking a mate with you though, that may have the opposite effect! Good luck with it, Nathan Quote Link to post
