timdog 0
Looking into what scope to get to put on a .222 Ive seen that Nikon do scopes...........Anyone have any experience of them and are they any good? Not in the position to buy expensive gear such as S&B or Schwavorchi or Zeiss so just looking at a DECENT cheaper alternative option? http://www.uttings.co.uk/Product/766/102932/nikon-pro-staff-3-9x40-m-rifle-scope Thanks in advance Tim Quote Link to post
philip140 6
I don't have any real experience with the Prostaff, but i have the Nikon Monarch in 4-16x42 sf. the optics are very good, definately the brightest scope i have looked through so far. my only real gripe is that it doesn't have a great deal of adjustment range for shots past 400 yds with my .223 The monarch might scrape by as being called a cheaper alturnative to the high end trio, but the prostaff is definately not in the same league as to be called an alternative in any way. You are in the position to Buy Zeiss and S&b scopes !! Look up www.rmacleod.co.uk they are in scotland but do not let that put you off. They have 6x42 Swarovski for £195 and 6x42 Zeiss for £150 they migh not be new BUT they will be better optically than a chinese scope Retailing at £159 new .
