KKK Russell 0
Hi everyone , I'm new to the forum and not been in the field for a while, and looking to get back into it. I grew up on springers (Oh how things have changed)and know nothing about pcp's except the bits and bobs i've read on the net. I WANT ONE ! But sadly not at the mo as funds are short. So i've been looking at the HW95K or HW97 with a budget scope :- MTC Optics Cobra 3-9x50 or Hawke SHD 3-9X50 IR. Would these scopes take the recoil ? Would like to hear your views on what set-up's to look at, my budget is gonna be about £300 in the near future and have no prob's with secondhand. Cheer's KKK Quote Link to post
jackinbox99 41
If your pushing 300quid then id consider a pcp. You can get pick up a decent one for not much more than that. Scope wise, both of those would be fine, ive a hawke scope and i was very impressed with the clarity and quality of it. Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
My baby pcp cost me 200 and included the gun, slip, 3-9x56 Kassnar Scope, pellets and pump Yes she was second user and the RFD is a friend of mine but there are decent PCP's for not much more than what you have to splash Having said that, if you grew up with springers, your gonna feel a little "Cheated" shooting the pcp, it really makes you lazy :lazy: I keep promissing to take my Beast out, I may do it this week just for some more paper punching and to remind me I'm still alive. hunter1989 91
hi pal to get a decent pcp setup,do lots of reviews on diffenrent rifles, alot like the air arms s400,s200,s410,also the bsa ultra a good one i just recently brought one, then your need a pump or diving bottle, pumps around 150 same as bottles,d what method of cocking do you want as bsa ultra has a mmc-fore arm plunger and not a cocking pull back, scopes the ones you have said will be fine, ive only had my pcp ultra for a few days now my first pcp so im still picking new things up, anyways buddy good luck Quote Link to post
KKK Russell 0
Hi lads , thank's for the input . I think I'm gonna go with a springer, not sure witch one yet , with one of the scope's I mentioned earlier. I like the HW95K, what do you think about the TX200 ? I will upgrade to a PCP in time coz they do sound the ultimate air firearms, but gonna do a lot more reading, and see what to aim for The last rifle i had was a Fenwickbau and that was a few year ago (about 18) and before that i had a Tracker and a BSA meteor with an ox spring, and i loved it , great little potter, now there's sh*t loads to choose from Any advice is most welcome. Cheers KKK. Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Hi mate both the tx200 and the hw95k are really good springers and will fill your game bag easily. The tx200 I would say is better and if you can get a hunter carbine model of the tx200 even better. I use a air arms pro sport and hw95 and they both have proved thereselves on more than one occasion. Si 1 Quote Link to post
