rust on barrel

Recommended Posts

nothing worse then a rusty barrel :whistling:

joke a side .. i used to have a oily rag that id rub down the gun with.

the only other thing if it gets too bad is strip it [bANNED TEXT] down n get it re-blued

I use gun oil on mine with a rag, rubs of any surface rust easily. Unfortunately my s410 seems to attract rust easy if its been out in the damp fields. Common problem with air arms, the blueing is next to useless. What i`ll do is if it gets any worse, sand it down nicely and reblue it. Just means until then I have to keep the barrel nicely oiled to prevent it happening and give it a good clean everytime i take it out.

Out of interest, what gun is it?
