ferret shit + rat infested areas

a few lads i know come to me from time to time for ferret shit to put in their outbuildings to deter rats

is this a myth or does it work?

also heard someone sells "freeze dried ferret shit" on the www. for £££££££££££

its a crazy world out there lol, anyone else get these strange requests?

I've never had any rats in my ferret shed, but next doors have had rats in their aviary

yea i heard the same tale,but im inclined to go with malt,there sleekit horrible b*****ds rats and a few bits of ferret shit want deter them.if i seen a rat out my back garden im afraid it would be more than ferret shit id put down.id cover every inch with gins lol

Keeping ferrets here made no difference to a mouse problem i had in the shed.. but the old terrier made short work of them

When we moved to our new house and met the neighbours they mention that there was a few rat tunnels beneath a concrete base in our garden and running to theirs.

 

We have since custom build our huge shed/court there which can house 50 ferrets, and have never seen any rats since ferrets moved in

looked out the back the other week and there was a rat sitting on top of the ferret cree saw it a few times and it actualy looked in at the ferrets a 177 pellet from the 510 put pay to it but it wasent bothered about the ferts.

My mate had rats in his ferret shed, they were living behind the hutches !, and I've seen rats going into working terrier runs to take dog food while the dogs were asleep a couple of feet away.

When I was a teenager all my rats were bolted for the terrier by a couple of jills, not done it almost for 20 years, just use ferrets for bunnies nowdays........
